Hama’s Dance Center

Hama’s Dance Center, located in Studio City, CA has roots dating back to the 60’s and a proliferated thread in the LA dance community that would surprise many. It’s namesake, Hama still teaches 4 jazz classes per week and has been instrumental in training and providing a place for dancers to learn, experiment and challenge themselves since the 60’s. Having trained under the famed Luigi himself, it was Hama who carried the on the legacy in Los Angeles when Luigi went back to NY to open his school there. This studio tucked on the corner of Riverside and Laurel Canyon, has some of the best jazz classes in town, also offering a heart-opening heels class for ladies and gents alike.
